Trying to discuss or describe what happened is very triggering for me. How much information do I need to tell you or put in the questionnaire? How much information will the law firm need?
We know these can be very difficult conversations – you control how much you share and when you share it. We do our best to respect your preferred method of communication (text, email, or phone calls). During these early stages we just need to know the bare minimum about your experience. The most important factors that we need to understand, in order to determine your statutes, are the approximate date of the incident, the state in which it occurred, and the basic facts of the incident – you do not need to go into detail. If we’re able to connect you with a firm you will be able to control when you discuss the situation in full with them. Many of the firms we work with are trauma informed and skilled in discussing these difficult topics.
